Don't underestimate the "fear factor" -- as part of the listeria issue
with one of the meat processing plants here in Ontario, many people are
simply not consuming the affected types of meat products despite any
indication that the problem existed in more than one plant for a brief
period of time.
It's materially affecting the cash flow of pretty much any prepared food
that uses sliced meat.
Bad news is the only faster-than-light communications method yet
designed by man.
