Note that the blog uses phrases such as "...it doesn't look like this
should have any bearing on OPC Servers...".  

Their bottom line?  Go ahead and apply the patch.  You "should" be OK.  

I don't think so!

This is a classic case of "They just don't get it!"

We want them to test the patch and validate the product before going out
on a limb to declare it safe.  That's what we do.  We expect no less
from a vendor.
